“My father has a lot of kids from other women so because of that he only paid school fees for a few. My mother was the one paying for me and my brother. We struggled so much with finances at home, then one day my brother said he was going to drop out of school just to let me continue. That’s about the same time Joy for children came and we are now both in school. l am a shy girl and I never really imagined myself as a leader but Joy for children has also helped me gain leadership skills on top of paying my school fees. I have learned from my mother to be kind to people, be patient in every situation and trust in God. After my school, I want to be a lawyer so that I can fight for the rights of the wrongfully accused and jailed. I have a friend whose mother was living with a stepmother that hurt a kid and accused my friend’s mother. She was jailed and locked away for 2 years. I think the hardest thing about being a lawyer is that sometimes it can be very challenging to tell who is guilty and who is innocent and the best thing about it is helping someone get justice.”
