Jennifer Kahumuza

Jennifer Kahumuza

Jennifer Kahumuza is the Area Coordinator at Joy for Children-Uganda, Kabarole. She has served in this capacity since 2009. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Social Sciences from Makerere University and a Certificate in Counseling from YOPA institute.

Sharon Nabasumba

Sharon Nabasumba

Sharon is an Accountant at Joy for Children Uganda. Since she joined Joy the organisation in 2012, first as an administrator, and rose through the ranks to become the accountant, Sharon has gained experience in the accountancy field.

Ronald Atuhaire

Ronald Atuhaire

Ronald is an office assistant at JFCU. He is also in charge of office maintenance but also ensures the smooth flow of office activities. He also works as an office messenger and is always present to serve organisation staff with what they need. He joined JFCU in 2012.

William Muhumuza

William Muhumuza

Commonly known as pastor by the staff, William is in charge of office welfare at the JFCU Fort Portal office. He is a highly dependable person among staff. He joined the organisation in 2014.

As a Human Resource Personnel, She appreciates the Uganda labour laws. She has over 6 years' experience in Human Resource Practices and Executive management gained from a reputable Audit firm and a reputable microfinance institution.

Tukwasibwe Sandra Karungi, Programs Manager

Tukwasibwe Sandra Karungi, Programs Manager

Sandra is a social and transformative leader who is very passionate about children, youth, women and community wellness. She has a track record of project coordination and implementation of both sub-national and national level of development programs targeting children and women. She also has experience in Gender mainstreaming, community development, mobilization, guidance and counseling and fundraising for organizations.
Sandra would like to see an African society where children and women issues are given first priority, women to be at the center of decision making and commit to ensuring safe spaces for young girls to achieve their full potential. Education Background includes a PGD in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute and a B.A in Social Sciences and Humanities from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda

Namara Lindsey- Communications Officer

Namara Lindsey- Communications Officer

Lindsey Namara is a communications officer at Joy for Children-Uganda who is passionate about transforming lives for children, youths and women. She has expertise in Digital and multimedia with capability in videography, photography, graphics design and audio production. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Mountains of the Moon University.

Kyomugisha Shakirah- Accounts Assistant

Kyomugisha Shakirah is the Accounts Assistant at Joy for Children Uganda who is passionate about accounting and aspires to become a certified public Accountant. She is a resilient person, collaborator, communicator and respectful individual. She also likes to give back to the community.
Shakirah has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting option) from Makerere University Business School Nakawa (MUBS).

Okello Isaac- Project Officer, NERAMP

Okello Isaac- Project Officer, NERAMP

Okello Isaac, Project Officer, NERAMP. A Journalist by profession, Social Scientist and a Social worker with professional background in Counseling and Guidance, Research, Data Analysis, Gender and Community Studies, Statistics, Population and Demography and Child and Family Protection.
Has worked as a Radio reporter (Radio North F.M and Rhino F.M) and presenter (Rhino F.M), Community Educator (Ireda Youth Initiative on Development Organization) Food Distribution Team and Magazine writer for Samaritan’ Purse International, Office Attendant with Dokolo District Local Government.
Has passion in working with Communities especially in areas of HIV/AIDS, Gender and Family Planning, Children’s Rights. For over eight years, Isaac have worked with communities to improve the lively hood of those in camps, couples, and children and passionate about ending any form of violence against children and women.

Proscovia is a Social worker with professional background in Business Studies from Uganda College of Commerce Aduku with two years’ experience in physiotherapy and counselling as well as data collection, Advocacy and presentation skills ,social accountability and human right issues among others. She is reliable and her areas of interest include; working with community and also fervent about working with vulnerable children and protecting their rights.

Diana is a Demographer/ Social worker and a scholar with a published journal article on Comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS among women of the reproductive age in Uganda in International Journal of Community Medicine and Public Health.

Professional background in Demography/ Statistics, Quantitative Research Studies, Data Analysis, Gender Studies, Population and Reproductive Health. More than 4 years of experience in research and carrying out quantitative studies up to multivariate analysis. Two years of experience as an assistant on the research teams at Makerere University School of Statistics and Planning. Former Research Assistant and Local Language translator (Runyakitara) at Apata Insights and Laterite

Namara Babrah-Assistant Programs Manager

Namara Babrah-Assistant Programs Manager

Babrah is a team player who upholds the highest standards of integrity with over three years of experience in working with diverse teams in project design, implementation, coordination, Consortium management, stakeholder management and advocacy for gender equality, male involvement and policies that promote human rights. She is passionate about advocacy and Sustainable development goals most especially; gender equality, inclusive education and children’s rights and wellbeing. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education(Secondary) from Uganda Martyrs University (Nkozi) and currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management at Uganda Management Institute.

Kisitu Lamech is self-motivated and enthusiastic lawyer, with a strong legal knowledge and background in law. He holds a degree in law from Makerere University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center (LDC). He mans the legal department at JFCU.
