
Moses Ntenga
Moses Ntenga is the Founder and Director of Joy for Children Uganda, an advocacy and action center dedicated to championing the rights of all children to live peacefully and without exploitation, access quality free education, thrive in economic security, and benefit from clean water, healthcare, and nutrition.
With extensive experience in community building and coalition-driven change, Mr. Ntenga has led initiatives that bring attention to critical children’s rights issues. He highlighted serious exploitation and sexual violence against children during the World Bank’s Uganda Transport Sector Project, prompting policy reforms, the creation of a World Bank Task Force on Gender-Based Violence, and reviews by other international development agencies to better protect children and women.
He has served on the Uganda chapter of the Congress of Racial Equality, acted as Ambassador for the International Blue Cross, and is a Vaccine Champion for MACIS. He is also a member of the World Bank Gender-Based Violence Global Task Force and sits on the National Steering Committee on the Elimination of Child Labour under the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
He holds a Master’s in Human Rights from Makerere University, a Certificate in International Development and Social Change from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and a Certificate in Administrative Law from the Law Development Centre, Kampala.
