Access to quality education is a fundamental right for every child, but many children in Uganda Face serious challenges that prevent them from achieving this. According to UNICEF, about 1.4 Million children in Uganda are out of school, showing the urgent need for support. At Joy for Children Uganda, we are committed to changing this situation through our Sponsorship Program, which provides vulnerable children with the resources they need to access education and create better futures.
In Uganda, many families struggle to meet their basic needs, making it hard to pay for school fees and necessary supplies which puts vulnerable children at risk of dropping out of school or,worse, never attending at all. Issues like poverty, child labor, and family instability make this worse, leaving many children without the education they deserve. For those out of school, the challenges are even greater, leading to limited opportunities and increased risks, such as child labor and early marriages.
Our Sponsorship Program directly addresses these challenges by providing support to both in-school and out-of-school children. Through sponsorship, we ensure that every child has access to the education and resources they need to grow and succeed.
Through our Sponsor a Child program on Global Giving, we connect caring donors with children in need. Each sponsorship provides important support, including school fees, uniforms, educational materials, and mentorship. This initiative helps children return to school and ensures that those already enrolled can continue their education without interruptions.
